Wayang is a javanese word for shadow, and kulit means leather, wayang kulit is Indonesia traditional shadow puppet using leather as its material, the puppeteer in wayang kulit play called "dalang".
what we have here is a handmade shadow puppet miniature, made from wood with batik pattern on the edging.
the puppet are made from leather and handpainted with beautiful color, unfortunately the puppets are only for decoration, you can't take it of from their frame and play with it.
